A co-worker of mine send me a link to your site and man its pretty nice. (expect for the slow downloads) here is a suggestion, Im a user interface designer and my job is to make the interface in a video game look really good. I just saw that you guys had a video with Wipout Menus which is AWSOME!!! would be nice to have a section on your site devoted for User interace designers as we are a rare breed but we try to make the games looks very cool so it would be nice to have a gallery of some nice menus in video games.

Just seems like a slim area of interest. There's got to be a reason why there isn't a menu design section on every other forum. Probably that that kind of thing just isn't interesting to the majority of visitors. Menus are great and all, a game wouldn't work without em, but is it really something that we can even discuss?

I kind of think there are more general parts of the site that need updating and tending to before stuff like this is even considered. Like blogs *wink wink, nudge nudge* ;)

I agree with Megido, there are some MUCH higher priorities.

I really think an area for UIDesign would be going for something which is not even a niche market! If anything, that could fit in the technical forum with a sticky thread, but more than that I would say it's not having priorities correct.

I'm all for it, I'm a big fan of UI design in games, nothing gets me like flashy menus! :D

There was an Edge article on menu's last month that was a good read too. It might be up on their site for some menu related goodness :)

Maybe if somebody actually made a post showing off a design it would be a thing to consider.

Right now it's like "Why don't we have a Forum dedicated to green nipples"

I would be more then happy to post some of my recent work (not related to my job but some samples of my personal portfolio) just not sure where I would host these.

now I really want to see that Edge article I can't find it on their site :(

Usability > Flashy menus! They should always hire people with user interface skills over designers for menus! That is all :P

hey defangel I send you a privat message I was wondering if y ou have that article that you mention ? I look at the Edge website and couln't find the editorial. Id like to get my hands on it if possible!
