Actually I have a rough idea as I have to work with people from Ubisoft and there's always the possibility that one of those people could see what I say online. Hence, if I say I think this was a bad idea for Ubi to jump here with both feet I'm better be ready to say that to them face to face.

Nobody here is saying it's a particularly nice thing or that they shouldn't be upset about it but in the grand scheme of things, it's a relatively low number of people doing the vast majority of the gaming community an extreme disservice by acting in such a fashion. A much more sensible approach would be to ignore it and move on. It doesn't deserve any kind of acknowledgment by the vast majority of us, let alone Ubi.

The only thing to understand is this factual statement:

"humorous or satirical accounts ordinarily are not defamation unless a reasonable reader would believe that they purport to describe real events."

That's the law, and there's is no other way around it. Everything is a waste of time, and if isn't, I suppose we'll see someone paying a big fat fine or go to jail (not happening).

I think a lot of peaple are missing the point, Assasins Creed was a crap 'play like we say and no other way' type game which would only have been developed by a total cocksucker period! the comic was fair editorial comment pesented as satire.
