Lookin pretty good..own the first, never play it anymore (GeoWars is just..better). This looks a bit more involved/interesting than the first though, I may just have to grab it. Not my video--unfortunately had to skip out on Digital Life..

Yea..this looks great, doubt I'll ever touch the original again though. Co-op is the #1 thing making this game hold my interest.

In a way I think that's one of the arcade's lesser flaws, that you're pretty much stuck owning a title once you own it..well, atleast for the life of the console. People who participated in XBLA on Xbox 1 don't re-get Ms. Pac-Man for free if they've already purchased it on a previous version--which I think is another flaw. It turns the model into a glorified rental system. I sorta hope that changes. I would like to be able to play these games on my next Microsoft console.

I actually think next time around that will be catered for given the penetration of Arcade / Marketplace in general. After 5 years, it's safe to say I will probably have invested quite a lot in Arcade titles and so will a lot of other users. It would be a lot of people to piss off if they lost all that investment.

The XNA stuff should make stuff more portable onto a new console anyhow.

Well that's certainly how it should go down..I would just feel more comfortable with all the cash I'm dropping on the arcade if they would come out and confirm that intention.

I'm sure they couldn't confirm such a thing until they confirmed the next console. You can imagine them announcing it and getting a barrage of questions about Xbox 3000.

The Live Anywhere demo has used continuing a game of Zuma from Xbox to Vista to mobile as a usage scenario and I think even confirmed you wouldn't have to pay extra to play games you had purchased on different platforms, which is kinda the same thing if you think about it.

So long as they run on windows, that's basically a guarantee that they'll always have a home. I have a PalmOS smartphone, so Live Anywhere's not too mobile for me..plus that's really not an ideal platform for most of these games.

I'm a little down on the marketplace tonight, EA's bullshit with Tiger Woods has put me off a bit..but that's for a different thread, I won't take it out on the arcade.
