Fight Night 3 demo video

2006-01-05 09:39:16 by BlimBlim

Electronic Arts had the excellent idea to release a playable demo of Fight Night Round 3 on the Xbox Live Market Place last night, so I just had to make a video of it. As always I play very poorly, but you should be used to it by now :) I have to say these are the most impressive graphics I've ever got to see running in realtime on my TV ever, wow !

I'll second your opinion BlimBlim this game is SOOOOO Damn Good looking, It's good to have a demo out in the Market place because I was waiting for the Full Auto Demo to come out but it hasn't :( I'll also have to say that this demo came and punched me right around the corner, I wasn't expecting a demo of this game for atleast a couple of months yet here it is :D Good job EA and Microsoft, More of these please :)

I've played it, as well...I actually lost once on purpose to see what the animation looked like when you got knocked out.

Very impressive.

Visuals and gameplay are great. EA need to do this more often!

I just tested out the demo. Oh man, it rocks. Everything seems to be awesome; visuals, sound, gameplay. I didn't think a boxing game was able to fascinate me like this.

the only thing you could complain is for the demo not to run with 60fps - but that's about it. truly very impressive. way to go EA - that's how it always should be . . ...

I'd say it doesn't really matter o.O It's very important to me that games run smoothly, and I think this is smooth enough.

I didn't notice a hint of slowdown in this demo. Rather impressive to say the least. Also you are right this game is the definetly one of the most impressive looking games ever made. 3 million polygon characters moving ever so flawlessly and when you start throwing those fast combinations its just great to watch I really love this game.

Counter-punching just looks so damn amazing I enjoy everything about this game, but what's even crazier is the end game will be so much more impressive than this.

EA has a major hit on their hands.

For people that don't have it keep in mind this game looks ALOT better than screens or videos show you have to see it to believe it.

It is supposed to be emulating a TV broadcast so 30fps with motion blur is right.

but it would look better and more dynamic with 60. It's that simple.

I also wrote that I think it's very impressive (though it seems gameplay-wise the speed was toned down a bit, compared to the second part).

well this is... just amazing! wow!

I wasn't a big beat m' up fan but I just bought DoA4 and now this demo... I'm just a fan instantly.

only complain that I have: It's a tiny bit to slow for my taste, not dynamic enough but who knows what the retail version will be...

At least EA still has some people with skills...

have you played it? what does not look like the E3 demo??? have you seen the E3 demo on a conventional HDTV with your own eyes or are you talking about a compressed movie of it?

name one game that looks better than this demo on any system today...

It's a good demo but will be difficult for some people who have been playing DOA4 for example to get used to. It's boxing, that means it's much less "karate chop action".
It's a good demo, very pretty and fun as well. The announcer is irritating they should have left that out of the demo because in my hopinion it makes the game feel unfinished. It would have been nice to use the 'cut man' during round intermissions as well to see how that affects the game but for a demo I can see why they may have left it out.
In general FN:R3 is now on my 'must buy' list.

And I think this game has a strong argument for the "graphics make a game" camp...

It adds so much to the user interaction when it looks this realistic.
