Are you playing on an HDTV Blim? Im' wondering if the graphics still look like these pics, with the bloom lighting and depth-of-field effects.

You find it generic blim? To me this game seems to have a style all its own maybe not being able to undertstand what is going on is killing the experience? Like not being able to understand the dialogue etc.

vspectra06 I think the game will surely have beautiful graphics like what you've shown there.


Hehe I think blue dragon will most definetly add something new to the genre same for lost odyssey because apparently you can steal many enemie's abilities and use them for yourself.

Yeah it looks like this during the cutscenes, you rarely get to see people that close during gameplay, but if you accidently place the camera close to them the DoF effect is there too.

We know you can't understand a word of what is going on, but how are you liking the battle system, environments and the look of the spells in battles so far.

You enjoying yourself or are you disappointed with what you are playing? Since I don't have it myself, but I really want it so I'm just trying to see how you are liking it so far.

haha silverwolf they overdid it on that dust effect I'd say, but umm maybe it really is dusty because areas like that do tend to have some dust so I don't know it depends really.

I think part of the gameplay will be lost because of it being in Japanese.

I remember playing a mates copy of Kingdom Hearts which was a Japanese import and the whole experience went right over my head. (after all JRPG's are heavily story based and if you don't understand the story whats the point in playing it)

I don't think it will offer much new to the world of RPG's but im sure JRPG fans will love it regardless. (me included)

You are right it being japanese will take quite alot away from it since we don't understand what is being said, but i'm glad this game is so story driven. Lives up to my expectations for it.

haha i'm going to attempt a review without ever playing the thing, but i've seen many gameplay videos heard about storyline and even got some information on what is taking place so I'll project a score. Heard about all the customizable options you have at your fingertips. Co-op single player with other people over xbox live.

Graphics I say 8

POSSIBLY 9 gonna go with 8 until I see this baby on my 360.

because seeing it on the console is ALWAYS an improvement over any screenshot or video.

Gameplay I'll give 10

because I love the battle system and there is tons of customizable aspects that will affect how you fight.

Sound I'll give 10

I personally love the voice acting the music and the sound effects of the spells and abilities.

Replay value 10

Given the characters, a seemingly strong storyline, how much you can customize in this game, the impressive cut scenes, all the golems that can become apart of your party the impressive visuals throughout the game (not as good as it could've been I'm sure in some places, but hey it looks better than anything else in its genre)

I mean what we have to keep in mind is the first famitsu review someone gave this thing a 9/10 of the 4 reviewers maybe he actually went further into the game its easy for others to misjudge this game simply by assuming how a game starts out is an indication of what to expect from the game and many all over are saying the start to this game isn't impressive, but once you get into it it gradually becomes better and better and you immediately start to think of the game as a killer app.

I really like this.. a lot. The sterile environments! The bright colors! If the rest of the game sets to be this different from other RPG's too (except maybe for length), I truly want this.

Number one on expectation list.
