Fight Night Round 3 video
2006-01-18 13:48:57 by Manager
EA just released this video, presenting some of the features in EA Sports Fight Night Round 3. The vid is commented by one of the developers, and as usual, it looks really really cool. And is it just me, or does the game already look better than in the demo?
Update: Added 10 new images, four of them in 720p.
The trailer is for Europe, which means that the game hits the European stores 23rd of February.

Your right. The movement and animations look quick thus much more fluid, the lighting seems to be realistic too!
Cannot wait!

Yeh it's looking good, it doesn't really show to much of a solid combo of moves to say that it's smoothed out the animations all that much better, but i'm liking the inderpendant use of analogue controls to box. Never played a boxing game where it wasn't just the face buttons. (i've hardly ever played any boxing games tbh - ready 2 rumble on dreamcast only)
I like the sound of those impact punches, though surely that's just the easiest thing to do and you'll just do em all the time.. ? Maybe you have to build up a meter or something, but i dislike that also in a game.. Anyways, it's looking great and can't wait to play it. If i could only get my hands on a 360.
ps. is that feburary 23rd in the US only? or a joint release? if not, anyone know a rough date for the European release.?

Not to mention the fact that if you get blocked you leave yourself WIDE open for a counter!

This is a really fun game. I was playing it last night with a buddy, the knockouts are just so satisfying. Anyone know of some good strategies? I usually just try to block/dodge and then counter with a left or right hook.

Body blows can be very effective, hold L as you make your punch motions to smash their ribs a bit.

Yea i saw from the ign video awhile back the game looks and plays far better than demo. This game is going to be amazing.
Why is it looking like EA AFTER their first rushed games for the 360 will be like one of the best next gen developers it seems ? :D Buying this first day.

that video really excited me, definitely looks improved from the demo, mostly in the lighting, the colours look more blended overall, the animation isn't so jerky, we'll see how it looks and plays in a short while though 8)
and yeah, EA is showing some strength in the next-gen now, after their paltry entrance efforts

I played the demo, and I think it's safe to say that Boxing games aren't my cup of tea. Graphics still look great, though.

Renderware was never meant to be a high end engine, guess it is now :)
The lighting in the demo was pretty awsome too.

Yeah, this game looks da bomb.. I have the demo on my 360 (yes, I finally got it!!) and it's really a lot of fun.. together with DOA4 this will probably make up my fightinggame library
P.s. game in this video looks the same to me as the demo (what's supposed to be different?)..

Can't wait...hopefully they spend ample time on a career mode and it doesn't end like the last one.

Undertow: Yeah, the developer was talking about improving the career mode a lot. I think along the lines of multiple tournaments to take your guy through. He was saying the old versions really only had one moment of triumph, which is the championship title at the end. This'll change that......hopefully.
The Fight Night series is, period, THE best series of boxing games ever made. (and I never say something is the best. haha) Nothing comes close to the level of control and realism to the mechanics of boxing as the series. The way the two analog sticks and the left and right triggers (for dodge/positioning and blocking) is genius.
...speaking of which, they may be weirder at first, and slightly slower...but anyone who punches with the buttons is really shorting themselves of the experience.

It looks good graphically speaking. The gameplay doesn't look bad at all either.

Looks amazing graphically, sad that all this effort has been put into a boxing game. :S
Good for boxing fan i guess.
