EA released these three images from the Xbox 360-version of Lord of The Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth 2. I can't wait for the first Xbox 360 gameplay video - that's where we can see if the game is playable or not.

The water on the high seas looks pretty, is EA using renderware for all of its future titles? Or on ly the ones they develope themselves rather than just publish?

this can be a pretty good game.althougt i´d rather prefer a different title with this kind of games instead of LOTR, wich i´m a little bit bory about.

I'm more curious how the control will work with a joystick. I'm excited that this may open up more RTS type games to the consoles, something that PC gaming has always lauded as "a PC only genre"

Id rather buy it on pc.
Yer same here pr0cs, i wonder what it would be like on a controller because i really think these sort of games need a keyboard and mouse

I think they look really fantastic- for an RTS. And I'd rather have this on my 360 than my PC... if for no other reason than I already have a billion RTS's on my PC and it would be great to break up the genre limits of my 360 collection. Those times when I'm stuck at the In-Laws for a few days during holidays... it's great to be able to put on something you can really sink your teeth into and play. And who knows- there's NO reason this won't/can't support Keyboard and Mouse.

Not my kind of thing either, but the height ratio with the characters and the buildings is WAY off.

Wow, looks a lot better than the demo did on my PC (6800GT), namely the shadows. Nice! I can see how they designed the gameplay to be "Console-friendly" with the battalion groupings, but I would still prefer an RTS with a KB/MS. PLEEEEASE MS!
I would love for RTS to take off on a console. That would mean more game genres across the board and more profits for devs. Just a matter of input now that HD is here.

Looks pretty, If they can pull of the controls I would love to see more strategy games on the 360. Especially would like to see Medievil 2: Total War on 360 as well.

If somehow the control design is workable with the 360 controller it opens up a whole new genre. I would love to see classics like Total Annihilation on XBL if not only for the quick and easy online opponent matching that XBL provides.
I'm surprised that no websites have interviewed the developers to get a sense how they see this working. Other than "it's coming for the 360" no one has any new information how the control will work.

Yeah, the PC demo looks awesome aswell.. I run it at 1280x1024, 2xAA, and every detail on high, runs perfect on my P4 3.4Ghz, 2GB, and 6800GT.. The presentation of this game is awesome.. Especially when you're into LOTR and RTS games this game is a must-buy I think.. It's very fun playing arround with all the heroes and spells etc..

Looks cool, definitely up to snuff with the PC - if they can nail the framerate down that is.

Looks rather horrorshow for an RTS.
