wow, simply astonishing! Can't wait to play the demo eaither but remember when you play the demo don't look at it for the graphics instead its a test run of the gameplay since the demo we are getting is the e3 demo.
How do you know it's going to be the same demo from the E3 build?

I'm looking forward to playing N3 for the emotional aspect most of all. Mr. Mizuguchi says the 9/11 attacks influenced the game's storyline. It should be grand, like the battles.

thats what people are hearing, mainly rumor. However a demo is a demo so don't expect it to be graphicly smooth and enhanced.

I think the trailer is great, shows off the game well with both a mixture of CG and realtime sequences, both look great. Not sure what people are complaining about because I'll tell you now that NO game this gen on ANY console will even look HALF as good as that CG, and that is a fact, this is next gen CG to go with a next gen game so people should definatly get over themselves, seriously.

A lot of people think team ninja is pretty lazy then because the fighters in DOA haven't changed much from gen to gen (clothing textures being the exception). I mean how many different ways are there to render flawlessly smooth skin with no pores, wrinkles, etc. You really won't see a huge leap in the definition of the fighters because the art style is embracing the lack of definition.
basically make it look closer to this:

http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/9366/doa36025xr...

the CGI movies in the game...I know it cant look exactly like CGI but using things like self shadowing, soft shadows, more advanced shaders, all that good shit.

Also, I dont see anything really special about the CGI movies for N3. Yeah they look good but just like any other CG movies made recently, I wouldnt call them next-gen. But I think the best CGI gfx I've ever seen was in Advent Children, basically looks real at times.

When my window's media player starts playing the movie, it says error downloading codec and doesn't actually show me the video. What should I do?

To the people who keep on complaining about these games...

Just keep on doing that and you're damning the release of the game in the Western makets! Ha! If I had my way I would much rather keep it in Asia and Japan where it would be properly appreciated and not ridiculed because it is not realistic (or some crap comments).

I always thought people played games to escape reality and have fun(at least I do) but it seems that all some people want is more reality in thier games because they are not realistic enough, go figure.

Satoshi what is your take on blue dragon in the graphics department it has that comic like look that doa goes for, but of course in a more extreme manner. Would you rate that game next gen just trying to see if you are more in favor of the games that look amazingly real like a gears of war showing off veins or imperfections in the skin. Maybe you are more a fan of more realistic looking games than the ones that go for the popular glossy anime/comic type look.

Of course there is nothing wrong with that though its a matter of preference. Since i'm a huge anime fan things like doa 4, ninety nine nights, blue dragon, are right up my alley, Even enchant arm knowing its imperfections I'll still buy it if sees a usa release.

Project offset I'm impressed by, but I'll reserve final judgement till I see more WIDE OPEN environments, trees, grass, water THEN compare the character models we are fighting against on screen in the process to really judge. Because when we saw all those goblins before there was no environment to speak off.

If blue dragon's environements are anything like what I saw in dead or alive 4 (jungle, safari, temple stages) I'll consider that game the best looking game ever ;)
blue dragon looks good....about project offset.....they showed a demo featuring a brief portion of some stage, plus a fight against a goblin....u remember?
and guess what...the gfx were exactly the same as the other demos u were talking about.....

It was a tiny environment fighting against two enemies. Though I guess that is enough for some people.

(Dead or alive 4 is one such example, No screenshot truely shows how amazing it is to look at the grass, trees, walls, concrete, the fighters, the clothes they are wearing being rendered right there in front of you on the 360)

Alot of the experience is lost when you haven't seen doa 4 in action on a 360 instead of a screen or video. Which is why all the people claiming virtua fighter 5 looks WAYYYY better than dead or alive 4 are completely wrong they haven't truely seen doa 4 to make that judgement.
Don't be such a hypocrite/fanboy Op..how can you say that VF5 ISN'T better looking than DOA4 when you haven't seen it first hand, running on an HD screen? You can't...you haven't "Truely seen" VF5, deal with it.

(BTW, VF5 looks 10x better than DOA4 on modeling and lighting alone, DOA4's backgrounds are indeed beautiful though omfg i said it ;)

I suppose you can judge videos and screenshots on other platforms, but not the Xbox 360, right?

i think developers believe that we´re blind coz the way soldiers walk down the mountain is like the copy-past each one. looks awfully ugly.

the rest ; can be a really good game

yeah, they walking down the mountain with almost exactly the same walking animation exactly in time.

But realise, at the very least, that you will not give a -Blam!- when you are fighting for your life with 500+ enemies around you. especially with all those effects.

Great trailer. I'm loving 720p :)

Blame MGS4.. Ever since kojima and his team showcased the mgs4 trailer to be actual real time..everyone is comparing games to that... If it doesn't equal or top that it isn't next gen.

It isn't just metal gear solid 4 either..gears of war as well..because of the visual quality and shock factor it gave the audience..everyone is comparing any game to those games..

You can't question the public either..these games showcase what can be done with the consoles..and our brains automatically compare the games to them.." if that is possible..why aren't developers doing it" is what gamers are thinking.

Still the cgi scenes look beautiful, i would've hoped more for the ingame graphics, but the fact of fighting so many people with excellent AI and no slow down..is amazing.

the guy i previously quoted said there was no environment....no doubt they can make larger environments with such detail....
