EA is as always very generous with the medias of their future games, and released these 18 images of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for Xbox 360.

Hehe DICE not made successful games? Oh sure, only the second most popular online PC FPS after HL/2/CS/S which is PC Battlefield 2, broke 52 000 players just recently despite all the EA BS with bad patches and bugs and crappy force-fed canada-made sub par expansions.
But this is not that game and thus I'm not interested. Just a last-gen game with crusty coating. And BF2MC 360 also seems to upscale from a lower resolution than native 720p which is not a good thing in my book.

the only thing that i dont like about this game is its WAY to arcade for me, i mean... BF2 for PC was just an all around great game and there was a sence a realism in it, the way that MC looks is just... like a rip off or something, ive never played it but ive seen vids. can anyone thats played the game tell me if its on par with bf2 pc?

Maybe it's cause we have been subjected to so much bloom lighting anything with regular lighting looks like it was shot in the dark. :)

Raise your gamma..... to see other stuff.
Also screens or videos from the perspective you'll ACTUALLY be playing from makes this game look ALOT better.

Am I the only one that has seen the gameplay movies? The game looks good. But my money is going to GRAW and The OUTFIT.

I think it's 720p but there is no AA whatsoever so they are trying to emulate that by blurring the image, with catastrophic results.

I got "n00b" question: Is BF2 more realistic than old battlefield1? I played bf1 back in the days on pc and it was quite arcade action. You could destroy thanks whit couple hand grenades and rifle shots. Soldiers allso could handle more than half of the clip of punishment. So is this (console) version any more realistic than oldie bf1?
And oh yeah, this looks pretty damn good! :)

I ordered this game yesterday. I got a $15 coupon code via e-mail from EA and with Free shipping, I couldn't pass on this game. I was planning on picking up this and Burnout3 anyway, really like the XBox version , and the game is a blast to play online. I can't wait.

That said, watching those videos.... ewwww! The guy, a console gamer, had big iddues aiming with the sniper. Ditto the Helo. If you played like that against a PC rig you would get creamed--and thus there will probably not be a PC-Console FPS in the near future where 360 players can play PC gamers. Which is too bad :(
Some stutter in the movie, but it looks like a game that those without the PC version will enjoy. GRAW is looking like a MUCH more refined game though.

This looks decent though, and certainly a good deal more "arcady" than the PC game. I sort of wish they never changed the name of this game from the original "Battlefield:Modern Combat", to "Battlefield 2:Modern Combat"--because BF2 this is not.
Along with most everyone else..my money is on GRAW. (DICE still rules tho)
