E3: Brothers in Arms comparison trailer
2006-05-08 18:59:18 by Manager
Gearbox has put together a trailer comparing Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway with a last-gen version of Brothers in Arms. Even though you really can see the difference (which once again kill the Xbox 1.5 rumour), I still don't see the wonderful things making the game the most beautiful ever, as many choose to call it.
Update: One new image added, released seconds ago.

That should just about hammer it home to anyone who had any doubts. People tend to remember games as being much better looking than they really are.

The improvements are very noticeable.
However, we must keep in mind that the trailers released are "Target Trailers" not real gameplay demos. Gearbox promised to match that quality in the final version, but that's yet to be seen.

in motion it still doesn't look THAT much better than CoD2 though. I appreciate all the shaders and the highlighting, but a lot of that gets lost when you're not looking at still pics.

Dude, you are so wrong. That so called target trailer is indeed the way the game will look and feel. I have a video clip of a developer interview stating that the game is actually that good and that many people will have doubts until the game is shown at E3. Just face it, the launch is gone and over. It's time to move on to the next wave.

Though in the end they're pretty different games.

All that is irrelevent; it's still the same old Brothers in Arms gameplay. When are they going to work on THAT?
Place bomb on X tank, reach your teammates before time runs out, kill kill kill... some new experiences could really benefit the genre.

If the trailer for this game is true gameplay and graphics waise it will be better than call of duty 2 but then again call of duty 3 is on the way.

Why they choose the xbox vercion of the game instead of the pc vercion for that comparison, pc vercion looks a lot better than the xbox vercion.
P.D: Sry for my crappy english.

I really don't want to have to grab my falling comrades in the middle of a battle, exposing myself to fire. It is a game, the guy is dead, there is no point in catching him. I would rather turn around post haste can kick the ass of the SoB that shot him that preventhing his corpse having a rough fall. I don't care how attached to the in-game characters i get. In the end, it is a game, and most games these days can be completed without the need to grab dead people.
Call me cynical but you know it is true.

Suit yourself, my only concern is can it really have 10 characters on screen at once and still have self shadowing on?
Can't wait to see real time demonstration
