Blue Dragon: The first minute!

The weekly update of the Blue Dragon site was late but it was worth it since besides the usual 2 images we get to see the first minute and a few of the game! Let's just hope we can deactivate this annoying voice, but otherwise this looks great!

Also, CGI to me is part of what an RPG is. I love its inclusion in these games as CGI > ingame in nearly every way.(aside from loading) Not sure what people have against it. As for CGI usage in Blue Dragon(in reference to screen shots), thier isnt much of a blur between the CGI and the ingame. You can still tell the differance, but its very close in quality. (In my opinion ofcourse.)
With that, only 4 days now to go. Thursday needs to hurry up and arrive.

Long story short you are no rpg fan and you probably couldn't notice a potentially great one even if it fell in your lap. What this game is aiming for its achieving and achieving well. You need to be more in touch with the japanese market this is an incredible attempt...

What else wasn't needed, was your uneducated opinion. I'm all for people having a different opinion and everything, but my god do you even read your own statements? The world doesn't revolve around gears of war, and this game has a greater ability to bring in more consumers to the Xbox brand. It's games like these that are the main cause to the Playstation's success over the years, especially in Japan. You think the Japanese would care as much for Playstation if not for the many good JRPGS on the system? If Microsoft wants to expand its worldwide following they need to establish a good mix of different types of games and styles to meet every different type of gamer. This game and others, like Viva Pinata and Lost Odyssey, are a great step forward to achieve that goal.

It seems all of them want crap realistic looking, ugly assed shooters, with no story.
If this is what the average 360 user thinks/wants then it will forever stay in PS3's shadow.
Personally i think this game looks 10 times better than GoW.

I can't see how you can make that statement when you haven't seen/palyed enough of Blue Dragon to back up what you are saying.
Kameo is a great game (one of the most impressive looking games on the 360), but i think this game top's it.
Yes we are fully aware that the 360 is made by an AMERICAN company, so frikkin what !
Fact is that many people have bought a 360 in anticipation for this game, so shut up because you don't know what you are talking about.
If you don't like this game, fine, but don't tell other people what they should like.
Personally I find GoW one of the Ugliest looking games around, so go chew on that.

If i like action and rpg,what console should i get then?
I alreayd have a xbox360 now,and i as you think Gears of War is the best looking game,and plays fantastic,and having ablast over co-op and Mp everyday.
And yes even mgs4 looks pale in comparsion atm,ofc when mgs4 is out it may look better,but then GoW2 is out...
ANYWAY...
You have to be pretty dumb if you suggest people should hate this kind of games,cause ps3 will deliver more "rpg's" don't you get that many console gamer are into rpg's?
Don't you know that for ex the 2nd biggest serie ever is pokemon?
Or that for ex FF7 sold 10 million copies while Halo2 sold almost 7?
You should like these kind of games even though yoyu hate them,cause it makes 360 more attaractive.
Thus getting more dev support.

Are you saying because the 360 is an american console it must be relegated to having only shooters and sports games? Dont know about anyone else, but I find that laughable. Sure I enjoy an occasional shooter just like most and I find Gears to be a really good game.(jollipop, im really hoping you were just going for a point when you were talking about GoW being ugly. The game is without a doubt the best looking console game to date.)
However, it doesnt mean its the end all to everything on this planet. Im thinking that Ill be enjoying Blue Dragon a lot more than I ever will gears. Blue Dragon isnt really a beautiful game from the technical standpoint so much as it is from an artistic standpoint. What we have between GoW and BD is both ends of the spectrum. This is the diversity that was so desperatly needed on the first xbox and the sole reason this is the first time since the NES where Im actually considering not purchasing all the consoles. The 360 could very well give me all the diversity in games I need. Now your suggesting that diversity is a bad thing?
Anyways, as stated before, BD is looking really good. Im waiting on the final product though myself.(3 days ) Famitsu may have rated it high, but famitsu also rated the gundam PS3 game high.
