Blue Dragon: The first minute!

The weekly update of the Blue Dragon site was late but it was worth it since besides the usual 2 images we get to see the first minute and a few of the game! Let's just hope we can deactivate this annoying voice, but otherwise this looks great!

Sweet. I love th sort of Fur the dragons have. it's not the best but it does look good nonethless. I am sure these screens do not do the game justice do, It'll look incredible in motion.

Game looks great, the footsteps sound a bit loud though. Like he is running on something other then sand.

The music is beautiful.
Gah.. I really hope the Japanese version will have English subtitles... but doubtful. Oh well. I have my import 360 on standby for next week. yay!

WOW, just wow. Hopefully we don't have to wait for another year to be able to play it on our US/PAL X360s. I hope, though, that you'll be able to disable the voice that tells you if you found an item or gold or nothing. Could get really annoying after a couple of times.

Yup the water looks pretty good, doesn't look like it has displacement mapping when you walk through it though.
The shadowing in this game looks pretty good, the way the windmill shadow at the start refracts off the stone etc.

I'm not a fan of this genre really- but that was really, really impressive! The combination of the music, the lighting and the texture style just presented itself with such a MOOD. Dispite everything- I feel that this may well be the first Japanese RPG that I'll want to pick up! Very, VERY nice.

I hope Lost Odyssey moves away from the far-back camera shown in the TGS demo and follows Blue Dragon's type of camera. :)

vspectra: Lost Odyssey uses the glidey came system like in Final Fantasy X, you can't control it. It slides from left to right, up and down on some sort of invisible rail as you move, then you get to see the game from various angles of beauty ^^.
Lol, the water isn't that awesome :p but looks good. Did anyone notice that the "ITEM" voices are from Microsoft Mary?

The Asian version is out at the end of december, so i expect it's partly to do with that.

Yea I hate that damn voice too lol. I really hope I can disable it as well. Wow incredible.... that you can check all those spots and as I think about it maybe that voice is actually need in such situations since you are able to check so many things at once? Either way this game looks awesome :)

I am here to eat my own words and to be honest, and I think Op and Heretic will appreciate this, here I go.
I am sory if I have been so "hostile" against this game. I saw this video and I though it was quite ok, then I checked out the field skill and the town sequence, and I started to like it more and more and more. It looks alot of fun, entertaining and great art style and its graphic combined with its art style is just more than I want, which is good.
Anyhow, Blue Dragon is starting to get up on my list right now for me buying it, same as Lost Odyssey, although Lost Odyssey is very early built yet and havent showed any of those cool combat stuff except one magic fire attack, I think I am going to buy both of these titles.
I have to say that I hate turn-based but these two might be a exception of me owning turn-based game. Now if you excuse me I am gonna download some Lost Odyssey demo footage and see it on my HD TV through the PC along side Blue Dragon.

Dark Sector is my most anticipated game ever, and it looks awesome. Can't wait for 2007 and for it's first trailer.
