An anonymous journalist released two images of Rare's mysterious Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts on an italian forum. Of course we were around and immediatly caught them. Here they are for your enjoyment, and we should have a lot more information coming very soon anyway.

Beautiful art but I'd rather see another Killer Instinct.

I have to say this looks a bit disappointing graphically. Distant mountains and stuff is really simple looking... I do like that it is colourful. I hope there is demo. I haven't played these kind of games in some time.
From GameInformer:

- Showdown Town is 16 times larger than anything RARE has created before.

I'll take a new plat-former over another fighter any day

That being said, I'm not sure I understand why the characters are so geometric... were they like that in the previous iterations?

It has the look like it's been made with Cryengine 2. Does anyone know what engine they use?

Lol. No, they are not using CryEngine 2 as CryEngine 2 for consoles has not yet been licenced out.

Ah that might explain it then. It still has quite fun looking graphical style.

you just moaned about people bringing R&C into the discussion, and your doing it yourself. so i may as well throw in my thought on it. R&C blows this away visually as is. this game, going from those screenshots just look down right dated. kinda like PDZ was. it may have the tech, just like kameo and every other "nextgen" game RARE have made, but it just feels like they've yet to break away from the N64 development mentality. kinda like how free radical didnt quite break away from it making timesplitters (timesplitters feels very old school in the way it played)
Well like i said, you basing that from a game you have seen in motion to one that you haven't, that is still in development, personally I'm guna wait til later today until i make a firm judgment on it.

Either way I think it looks good, and I wasn't so much moaning about bringing ratchet into the discussion as stuff like "looks like the 360 has reached its limits"

Wii60!

"We've said that Gears of War was graphically the best game have ever been made, well it looks like Pong compared to Crysis and some of the DX10 titles."
